How does one stop pop ups on Internet Explorer?

That's my fave too. Works great!

Messenger popups - install a firewall

Or just disable the messaging service if you don't use it. Most people
don't. (Still a good idea to install a firewall if you don't have one,
though.)

Note that this is just a bandaid - ....if you don't have something blocking
