I have all spyware, virus protection, etc. This action box with chinese
characters comes up during load and sometimes lets me through if I hit
ctr, alt, del, but other times I need to reboot. If I hit OK I can go right to
widows load but not sure if this is saving new instances to my machine r
what. Do I need to re-install windows to nail this thing?
THanks

Start>Run and type in "msconfig" without the quotes. At "Startup" tab, see if there is entry related to this box. If so, uncheck it.

U can install the Microsoft Antispyware, that's excellent software to clean
spyware virus.

HI Lynn, I already run this beta version of ms spyware, didn't find this one
though, thanks

Thanks José, I checked the start-up programs and I recognize the 4 entries,
not a problem there. This seems like it runs before windows is loaded fully
or before those start-up program run. I am running pro w/ SP2 by the way.
THanks
Bruce
