Despite having a 86, pop-up blocker & Adaware I continue
to get pop-unders when I close IE6. Any suggestions ( I
have also run panicwares pop up blocker & Spybot)
What is most ironic is the pop unders are ads for spyware

Try NaviScope (sort of a Swiss Army Knife of Internet protection) and/or
PopDown (popup blocker). Both are free. Use Google to find them.
