Pointer won't disappear

Windows XP
I am using the mouse that came with my Dell desktop. It uses the standard
serial mouse 5.1.2600.0 driver.

I have checked the box that tells the mouse to disappear while I type but it
won't disappear. It is kind of a challenge to type with the cursor in the
way. I've tried changing my cursor and that hasn't helped. My mouse says it
is working perfectly.

Thank you in advance for any help.

That is not right, it should read Pointers Options that what it should be on
any system. Unless another hardware with configuration utility been installed
(OP said SP/2) the standard mouse.

This a standard been followed by all (manu) for Microsoft SP/2 mouse.

Again, please don't reply to my posts, as I don't have a problem the OP
does!!!

If you do have an answer, please kindly post it to the OP or if you have a
question open your own thread, so we can answer your Q.
This considered hijacking Gerry!!!

Thank you

It is Pointer Options as you say.

I was not disagreeing with the import of your suggestion; only the route
to accessing Pointer Options!

You have become a hornery individual! Co-operation helps achieve the
best user outcomes!

What happen if you changed to another mouse, does the problem persist ?

Did you install any new screen saver or wallpaper recently?
