Please Suggest Powerpoint Book

We've pasted an electrical wiring diagram into a Powerpoint slide and
want to "animate" it by having the wires change colors to show the
circuit being energized. Please suggest a book that explains how to
do this with Powerpoint.

Almost any book on PowerPoint, including mine, will show you the basic steps
of animation. However, just try this:
Select a line
Choose Slide Show>Custom Animation (In 2007, Animations>Custom Animation)
Choose Add Effect> Emphasis>More Effects.
Choose Change Line Color
Click OK.
In the Custom Animation task pane, in the Line Color box, choose a new color.
For additional lines, choose After Previous for the Start type, and click
the animation's down arrow in the task pane and choose Timing. There, set the
delay.
