How to insert multiple images (photo) without doing one at at time

I have a folder that contains diagrams(inside the folder there are files, ie:
electrical, plumbing, etc and each one contains many diagrams). I would like
to copy the entire file of diagrams, ex: all the diagrams for electrical into
a presentation (not each individual diagram at a time) into PowerPoint and
have then a separate slide for each diagram. Currently I can insert, slide
by slide (takes forever) or copy and paste slide by slide. Is there a way to
select the file contained within the folder (folder is in My Pictures), and
have it populate as many slides as there are diagrams? Result: copy all of
the diagrams images for electric into one presentation with as many separate
slides as there are images?

Select "Insert" | "Picture" | "New Photo Album..." menu item and take it
from there.
