Photo Album - How to Insert Entire FOLDER Contents?

Jim In Minneapolis

Hi. Can anybody answer 2 beginner "Photo Album" questions ? (PP 2007):

(a) How can I "select" an ENTIRE FOLDER's contents to be inserted as
individual slides, into my new Photo Album? (There are around 2,000 jpg
images in the folder -- way too many to "click" and select individually!)

(b) How can I create a "caption" (or whatever I should call it) at the
BOTTOM of each slide, which displays the actual file name for that slide?
(i.e. "MyParisPhoto1.jpg")

Thanks

Jim,

1. Select one image and use the shortcut key <control + A>.
2. Go to the slide master and move the title placeholder to the bottom. That
will change it on all slides currently built. From memory View| Master|
Slide Master in versions before 2007.

Open the dialog box to select the images. Press Ctrl+A to select all. Or
select blocks of files by using the Shift key (click on the first, hold
Shift, click on the last of a block within the list) or the Ctrl key (hold
Ctrl, click on file names to select). Then click OK to insert all selected
images at once. BUT: 2000 jpgs will produce a very large presentation, make
sure that your computer can handle such large files.

You can automatically insert the file name at the bottom of the slide if you
chose a layout with an image which does not fill the whole slide.

Ute

Hi Jim in Minneapolis

(a) Press File/Disk and navigate into the folder, then click on one
picture, then type Ctrl-A (for all). Click Insert.

(b) Choose a picture layout like 1 Picture or 1 Picture with title.
Click the "Captions below ALL pictures box" then create your photo
album.

Hope this helps
