Disaster after Adding new photos to a Photo Album

Shortly

I am trying to make a Photo Album in PowerPoint, Office 2007. I have
inserted text boxes in many of the photos in my Photo Album and filled them
with notations and other descriptive text. When I added new photos to the
album I was horrified to find all the text in the original photos vanished.

To add new photos I clicked on the Insert Tab in the PowerPoint ribbon and
at the Photo Album icon I clicked the arrow and chose Edit Photo Album.
In the Edit Photo Album window, I clicked on the File/Disk button. In the
Insert New Pictures window I chose the new photos I wished to include and
clicked Insert. When I clicked Update in the Edit Photo Album window the new
photos were added to my Photo Album but all the text on the earlier photos
was erased.

How can I add new photos without losing the text in the earlier photos.

Please help.
Thank you.

Pretty sure that when you edit an album it actually remakes it (in the
process erasing changes to slides)

Maybe instead of editing make a completely new album with the new pics and
either copy / paste or reuse slides to get them into the original?

Hi John,

Thank you for your offer to help. It seems crazy that you can have say, 100
photos in Photo Album, each with a text notation inserted and you add one
more new photo, click Update in the Photo Album Edit window and add the new
photo and lose all your scripting!

I am new to PowerPoint and have not found how you can "copy / paste or reuse
slides to get them into the original". It seems you have to go through the
Edit Photo Album window to add new photos.

I like the Power Point presentation but regret to find that the Photo Album
option is so limited.....
