PLEASE Return the Insert Signature menu option to Outlook

I am using Outlook 2003 SP2. In previous versions of outlook there was a
very handy menu option when writing email that allowed one to easily and
quickly insert a signature created via the email options. This has
disappeared and evidently been replaced with an extremely cumbersome and time
consuming option which is the solution I was given through the current HELP
of going all the way into the signatures (menu: tools -> options -> general
THEN click the email options button THEN select the signature THEN highlight
the signature THEN copy it. THEN exit out of the options, go back to mail
and THEN paste it in. VERY PAINFUL!!! Especially when one remembers the
previously elegant and simple menu option of Insert -> Signature ->
List-of-Created-Signatures.

PLEASE bring this BACK!!! OR enlighten me on an easier way.

ADVthanksANCE,
Wayne

"just Insert | Signature from the menu bar" is precisely the functionality
that is missing now. I am using the Word Editor, and in composing email,
"Signature" is distinctly missing from the Insert Menu bar options.

Thanks,

Hi Wayne,

I'm using Outlook 2003 SP2 and the "Insert>Signature" functionality is still
there.

1. Make sure you have a signature.
2. Make sure you're not using Word as your email editor.
Tools>Options>Mail Format
Uncheck the first of the 2 check boxes.

If you are using Word as your email editor (aka WordMail), you will not have an Insert | Signature command like the regular Outlook editor. If you want to be able to insert a signature into a WordMail message manually, you can create an AutoText entry for each signature. You can then insert them with the Insert | AutoText command.

Or, create multiple signatures the normal way (Tools | Options | Mail Format) and make one the default. If you want to use a different signature for the current message, right-click the signature that Outlook inserted automatically. From the pop-up menu, select either the name of the signature you want to use or E-mail Signature to create a new one. I personally prefer this technique. This is also the technique you need to use if you want Outlook 2003 to automatically change your signature when you switch accounts on an unsent message.
