This @#%&*!!!!! Microsoft people are sending me in CIRCLES
on their web pages. my Outlook Express 6.00.2600.0000 Does
not have a "Product ID" as the require.

All I want to know is how do I Un-Compact/Restore my
emails My IMPORTANT business "Receipts" folder, among
others was campacted into .DBX files. Many of email
folders are BLANK. I can still see them in the *.dbx files
if I open some in my UltraEdit file editor.

I DID NOT ASK OUTLOOK TO COMPACT ANY EMAIL! This product
did it in the background. A checkbox was checked to do
this when 20% wasted space. It created a cleanup.log file
recording the bacground cleanup, THAT I DID NOT ASK FOR!

See if http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com has the information you need. You'll
want to get the program called dbxtract.

Make copies of the DBX files now. The more you use OE the greater the risk
whatever is missing can't be salvaged. Next, look for tool called dbxtract.
It might be able to pull out some of the *deleted* items.

Oh and one other thing, is it safe to assume that you didn't accidently set
a view that hides items from you? (See View | Current View)
