My ISP's nntp server only knows anout this group
(microsoft.public.windowsxp.basics). They'll add anything,
but someone has to ask for it if it's for some vendors
products.

Can someone post a list of all the groups microsoft XP
groups.

Did you try looking them up yourself? One place to start is
http://www.google.com or Microsoft themself, www.microsoft.com (Hint: click
on "Communities" under the "Resources" heading).
