please help

i just had toput a new hard drive in my computer and i
have a problem. Everytime i open up a new window it
opens up small like it is minimized. how do i get it to
open un full screen or should i say maximized.

I take "open a new window" meaning opening explorer window? If not please
clarify so someone can help you


close down all explorer windows except one.
size it to the way you like for most situation, then
tools, folder options, then on the pop up window, choose the View tab
check the "remember each folders' view settings"
while you there make sure you uncheck "Hide extension for know file type.
that should reduce your chance of being fooled by malicious email to open
some attachment you should not: .pif, .exe, .com. .vbs, .js,.....

click apply. you should also click apply to all folders. and OK,
