please help!!!!!!!

my system installed an automatic security update overnight, and now i am
having real problems connecting to ares ultra 4.1.0.0.
i might add that the system automatically closed down to install update, and
i'm working on windows xp service pack 3,
i have never had problems with my connection to ares ultra in the past,
can anyone suggest a solution to my problem, many thanks in anticipation

and all is working fine...
