Hi

Try running the following programs to check for any spyware that may be on
your system:

Spybot - http://www.safer-networking.org/
CWShredder - http://forum.aumha.org/downloads/cwshredder.zip
Ad-Aware - www.lavasoftusa.com
Spy Sweeper - www.webroot.com

Try SpyWareBlaster to stop intrusions:

http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

Also see the following links:

http://aumha.org/a/parasite.htm
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm

Also virus check your system with the latest definitions for your AV
program.

I agree with Will Denny. Though I would also download the Microsoft
Anti-Spyware(Ms Windows Defender).(Which was originaly Giant Anti spyware).
These two work very together.

Scanning for Virus is another good idea. (www.avast.com) Here you will find
free anti virus software wich is ok.

I also download and regvac. This is a registry cleaner and can be found at
www.regvav.com. Virus software and ad-aware software or not the best at
removing restigry interies. There is no risk to using this software.

Lastly run the msconfig util. Click star, then on run. Then type
msconfig in the run window. Mscofig is a very useful utility. Click on the
last tab (start). This will display what programs are being loaded on
start-up. Anything you don't like then un-tick it, apply the options and
restart. This can be time consuming but well worth it
