Please help with Auto Complete

M

MarianElecta

Please it seems like when the last update was put on Windows XP that my auto
complete does NOT work anymore. I have tried everything. I went into
tools:interetoptions:content and then into auto complete settings and it is
clicked to prompt me for use.... but it does not work. I am really at a
stand still to know what to do next.

If you are using AutoComplete to fill in web based forms
then line #37, right hand column of the web page has two
download options "Enabled" or "Disabled", click on the
word "Enabled" and 'Run' the file. This will unlock(re enable)
auto completion.

I used this file and now i am NO longer even asked it I want to save
passwords. It seems like the last change that microsoft automatically did,
after this I NO longer had this feature where it will save my passwords....
etc. This disappoints me as I used this feature quite often. Is there
anything else I can do?

You can view the values stored for each input field name, delete incorrect
ones, and pre-load the system with additional values.

Clear Form Fields in AutoComplete (Line 37)

Restore IE AutoComplete Password Prompt (Line 13) Right hand side
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

AutoComplete Mode Enabled or Disabled (Line 37)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

Close IE. Then go to Start/Run and type in: services.msc
Scroll down to Protected Storage. Note the Status column. If Protected
Storage is running, Started will appear under Status.

If Protected Storage is not started, start it. To do this, right-click
Protected Storage, and then click Start. If Protected Storage is started,
stop and then restart it.

If you receive a Stop Other Services message, record the names of the other
services that will be stopped, and then click Yes. Then restart the others
services. Close out then reopen IE.

AutoComplete Does Not Save Username and Password

For Pro: Start/Administrative Tools/Services/Protected Storage. Make sure
the Service Protected Storage is Started.

Ah and for that - easily 1500 points! <w>

BTW, I "really" like your work, keep it up.)
