Hi,
My laptop (HP ze1210) has been frozen solid with the
win32.pinfi virus for the last 2 weeks. Nothing will run
on the desktop, and no icons appear, only the wallpaper. I
get a userinit.exe error message at startup. Safe mode,
registry, bios, no dice.. nothing works. Omly keys that
respond in desktop are ctrl/alt/del. Even then I get an
error. The problem is I have LOADS of important, unsaved
data (foolish, I know....) My only hope at this point is
using a bootable antivirus program from my CD drive to
remove the virus. If anyone knows of any free antivirus
software (win32.pinfi) that is bootable, or can offer any
tips, I would greatly appreciate it,
Thanks,
Jon
