Please help. Two problems.

Hi!
I'v used XP for a year or so without problem but now I have two.
First. When I'm using explorer.exe it suddenly hangs, often when I remove
files but even else. I have to shut down explorer. When I look in logbook it
sayes : Window shell finished unexspected and explorer.exe have been
restarted. This happens many times a day.
Second: When I use chkdsk it workes fine and no fails are detected. When I
run defragment tool on C:\ I got message saying: Chkdsk hav been scheduled
to start on windows restart. Run CHKDSK /f. When I run this it askes me if I
want to run chkdsk on windows restart. I say yes but nothing happens when I
restart. So I can't use defragmenter on my C:\ disk.
In windows ME there were a file named Wininit.ini to tell windows to do
different things at startup but I can't find any file like that in XP. Are
there such a file. Where can I find the scheduled Chkdsk command so I can
remove it.
I'v run a repair for XP but the problems are still there.

Use Event Viewer to look at the system log and double click on the error
message to see more info about the error. There is also a button you can
click to copy the error message to the clipboard so you can post it here.
