What is (secondary IDE channel-drive D)? Is it important
to always have it enabled?

The secondary IDE channel is normally used for attaching internal CD-rom,
CD-rw or DVD-rom-r-rw drives to your motherboard. Judging from the way you
pose your question, I'm assuming your system has one hard drive and one CD
drive. Your CD drive is/should be connected to the secondary IDE channel and
in order for you CD drive to function the secondary IDE channel must enabled
at all times.
