not sure what happened..about month ago, i can no longer open some programs
or files at my windows...i can go online with aol, and defrag and spybot, and
set my mcvee anti-virus..but what cannot open is "my computor" (extremely
important for my work)..or recycle bin, or any micro soft word etc...i cannot
even check to see what is in my C disk which is where most of my important
info is located.

Hi Gail,

Could you tell us what happens when you try to access 'My Computer'.
If a particular error is posted, it would help people to diagnose
your problem.

try a different anti virus program and see if you have a virus
you will probably have to put your important info on your other drive
and just dump it and restart (avast home users anti virus)
free but on a slower comuter takes a while to complete
you will need to disable your other anti virus or just sit and monitor what
avast askes you
