Please help: Snapshot Viewer corrupted?...

Hi guys

My database creates snapshot files and saves them to a folder. For some
reason I'm now unable to view the .snp files. I've done a repair and then a
reinstall of Office XP and still the files wont open. Immediately after the
reinstall I got it to open a particular file once using the Open With command
but now that doesn't work!
When I double-click on a .snp file it just hangs and eventually an error
dialogue appears stating that Windows is unable to find the file that I just
double-clicked on (!?) If I double-click SNAPVIEW.EXE it doesn't open
either. I have to keep going into Task Manager and ending the process each
time.
I've looked under File Types and the location of the executable is correct
for .snp files.
I'm at my wits end. Any ideas what's wrong and how I might rectify it?

Thanks for any help you can give!

Hi, Lee.

It sounds like your Windows Registry settings are messed up. This
occasionally happens when new software is installed or existing software is
uninstalled. To fix it, you may want to uninstall Snapshot Viewer, then
reinstall it. If you can't find your MS Office CD to reinstall it (or don't
trust the file on it), then you may download and install a free copy of the
Snapshot Viewer from the following Web page:

Thanks for the advice Camaro but I'm afraid I've already tried this. I've
tried removing and reinstalling Snapview view the Office CD and I've also
loaded the downloaded version. Strange isn't it. I've run out of ideas now.
