Please help - Remote desktop connection

I got one pc with Windows xp Os in India and my boss got another computer with Windows xp Os in UK. He wants me to access the computer in UK. Is it possible to me to do this. if so. Please explain the full procedure of setting up remote desktop connection . I went through the topics in help . I followed the same while connecting the remote computer I dont have any computer name in remote desktop users list. If i select <browse for more> option I got the message as "The Autoway domain workgroup does not contain any terminaservers". If I type the ip address of my boss's computer in Remote desktop connection I got the following erro

The client could not connect to the remote compute
Remote connection might not be enabled or the computer might be too busy to accept new connection
It is also possible that net work problems are preventing yourconnectio
Please try connecting again later If the problem continues contact system administrato

If your boss is running XP Pro you can use Remote Desktop from your PC to access/control his PC.

In that situation, only one person can access (see) the desktop at a time. See this KB article for

If your boss's PC is behind a firewall/NAT/router then make sure TCP Port 3389 if forwarded to the
private LAN IP of his PC. Call using the public IP address of the firewall/NAT/router.

If you both need to see the bosses desktop at the same time, ie. a help desk function, then Remote
Assistance maybe a solution for you. Both you, the Expert, and your boss, the Novice, can view the
Novice screen at the same time. The Novice must give permission for the Expert to both view and take
control of the Novice PC...
