Please help... I am so in deep trouble

as administrator i have locked myself out of the group
policy editor. i set it so that only certain programs can
be run, but it also locked out the administrator as well..

oh geez.. please help...

Treat this as a lost password. I'm assuming you previously had access to
the GPE and you have XP Pro as GPE is not available on XP Home.

If you have XP Pro on your computer, at the log in screen type
ctrl-alt-delete
twice. In the user account type administrator, leave the password blank and
press enter. You likely didn't create a password for this hidden account
during setup and if the computer was purchased with XP pre-installed it
doesn't likely have one either.

Once logged into the hidden Admin account, you should be able to access GPE
and/or change any user passwords, etc. to resolve this issue.
