Can someone help with this issue, please?
In the sub-folders within the My Pictures folder (XP Pro), I have many
pictures (thumbnails view), which I keep having to arrange in the order I
would like because every time I reboot, the order reverts to either
alphabetical or some incomprehensible other order.
I have tried all the options in the "view --> arrange icons by -->" menu,
and none will allow me to arrange and KEEP the order I want. I have tried
unchecking EVERYTHING, uncheking everything except "align to grid",
unchecking everything and then rechecking "align to grid" after I have
arranged the pictures - all with the same result.
In addition, when I uncheck EVERYTHING, the thumbnails do not align
properly. Also, when I check "allign to grid", the picture thumbnails do not
all appear within the window unless the window is maximized to "full screen".
What can I do to get the folders to preserve the order I establish for my
pictures (not "name", "size", "type", "modified", "picture taken on", or
"dimensions"), with the pictures aligning properly and appearing in a
1/2-screen-sized window?
Thank you for your help.
