PLEASE HELP !! CD-RW & DVD-RW Erasing

I am having difficulty trying to erase and reuse CD-RW and DVD-RW.
I have tried quick erase and full erase, and tried to use again, but the
disk still shows the properties as the disk is FULL and 0 space. I have
tried to write-over these disks, but that doesn't work either.
Somewhere in the past I read a post about doing a "FULL FORMAT" to clear the
disk. I have tried FAQ's at many different sites and have tried searching on
my own. The only MSN information I could find was in regards to formatting a
floppy drive.
Can anyone advise me on how to format these disks so I can use them again?

You need 3rd party packet writing software such as nero's incd, sonic's DLA
or roxio's drag to disk. Xp doesn't support what you want to do.

I have the Nero 7, but it won't erase CD's or DVD's. I haven't been able to
find the "inCD" in ANY of the Nero's choices ...
I takes me to the erasing box, but when I click on to start the quick erase,
the quick erase grays out, and even after allowing it to have plenty of time,
it won't start erasing.
I you have ANY other possibilities I could try, PLEASE post back,

Incd isn't installed when you install Nero 7 unless you did a custom install
and selected it. You will need to go to add/remove programs, select Nero7
and click on change. Then Click on modify. It will bring up the list of
Nero 7 applications. Scroll down to Incd and select it to install. Let it
install and reboot.

Hey bud...
I've tried the Nero.msi and that did not bring anything up.
I get a window that is titled "Nero & Installer Information" and the note
reads "An installation package for the product Nero & can not be found> Try
the installer again using a valid cop of the installation package."
I tried that over and over.
I did a general google for Nero.msi, and it took me to sites that were
HIGHLY technical and (ZOOM) were way over my head, and I don't ever feel
comfortable in the Registry or BIOS, etc.
It took me to a site "After Dawn.com, but these postings were too deep for me.
Some posted that when they tried incd, it totally wiped out Nero.
If you have any further help you could offer, I would really appreciate it.
I guess I could just toss them in the trash $$$$$$

Hey Bud
I tried searching through all of the software, and couldn't locate get
Nero.msi anywhere.
I did a search that brought me to AfterDawn.com which REALLY is way over my
head (ZOOM)
I tried to scroll around and search for Nero.msi or incd
There were NUMBEROUS replies, and some of them posted where they have had
total shutdowns and lost Nero alltogether, coupled with Nero.msi , and some
on inCD.
I don't ever feel comfortable EVER going into the Registry, or to make
changes that I don't know what I'm doing.
Other than just tossing out CD-RW's and DVD-RW's, do you have any other
possibilites I could try ?

The Nero.msi file should be on the original setup disk that came with Nero 7..
You do have the Nero retail (bought and paid for) version 7, right..?
Try again and browse to the Nero 7 setup disk and find the Nero.msi or Nero
Burning Rom.msi and choose custom or advanced installation and make sure you
select InCd or complete/full install if you have any doubts..
