pleaes help,,

hi,please help.
my pc is almost unuseable,
none of my pc banter posts show(they seem ok today)(
on the new user xp,it is stuck on
a earlier date?(ok so far..)
my symtoms are ,Program not responding,Can not run diagnostic help
total.
Total freezing of all controls,Slow start up,
Unable to shut down or restart,Have to pull
the mains plug out to start and finish,,,,
I can post replys and read them when click
my last post i submited,to pc banter.(looks ok today)
i have phoned my broadband supplier they
said its not their problem its xp problem....
I HAVE TO USE NORTON GO BACK TO GET CONTROLE
FOR A FEW MINUTES,SAFE MODE LAST KNOWN GOOD,
IS RUNNING OUT OF LAST KNOWN GOOD PLACES,
I HAVE-RAN THE FOLLOWING SCANS,
NORTON ANTI VIRUS 2005,MICROSOFT ANTI SPY,
PARETO LOGIC XOFTSPY,INAC ID PHISHING SPY,
KAZAA BEGONE,NEWDOTNET REMOVER,SOB 32,WINDOWS MALICIOUS
SOFTWARE REMOVER,AVIR MALICIOUS REMOVE,ERROR NUKER,
REGISTRY FIXER,HI,JACK THIS,GEEK HOME GUARD,ADWARE 6 SE,
DISKCHEAK ON STARTUP,DR WATSON,drwtsn32-i,RESTORE PIONT,
SECURITY ANALIZER 2 WHEN SYMTOMS FIRST STARTED-RESULTS
NETWORK ADAPTERS [00000001]3COM 3C910 INTEGRATED FAST ETHERNET
CONTROLLER(3CSOHO1OOB-TX COMPATIBLE)FAILED..
FINALLY CLICK START,CLICK RUN TYPE
regsvr32-u0/0windir0/0system32shimgvw.dll..
to no availl...no ideas...
can you help please..

VIRUS ON DISC C;OR IF I USE WINDOWS RESTORE DISC
WILL THIS CLEAER ANY VIRUS ON DISC,C;...

I'd start a clean install or use your system restore disk to re-image the
drive.

For the former;
To do a clean install, boot the Windows XP install CD-Rom. Setup inspects
your computer's hardware configuration and then begins to install the Setup
and driver files. When the Windows XP Professional screen appears, press
ENTER to set up Windows XP Professional.

Read the license agreement, and then press the F8 key to accept the terms of
the license agreement and continue the installation.

When the Windows XP Professional Setup screen appears, all the existing
partitions and the unpartitioned spaces are listed for each physical hard
disk. Use the ARROW keys to select the partitions Press D to delete an
existing partition, If you press D to delete an existing partition, you must
then press L (or press ENTER, and then press L if it is the System
partition) to confirm that you want to delete the partition. Repeat this
step for each of the existing partitions When all the partitions are deleted
press F3 to exit setup, (to avoid unexpected drive letter assignments with
your new install) then restart the pc then when you get to this point in
setup again select the unpartitioned space, and then press C to create a new
partition and specify the size (if required). Windows will by default use
all available space.

Be sure to apply SP2 or at least these two below to your new install before
connecting to any network.
