playing burned cd's

using windows xp windows media player version
8.00.00.4477. after i burn a commerical cd it will not
play in my sony compact disc minidisc deck mxd-d40,or my
bose acoustic wave radio that has a cd player, they both
play the commerical cd just fine. again the burned cd
will play in my bose surrond sound life style 28 system
just fine. if i have a problem wre could it be? i'm new
at this so be kind to me.

Not all sound systems will play CD-R's or CD'RW's. Check the doc's that came
with both players.

Also, make sure that when you burn a CD, you DON'T choose "multi-session",
and that you "finalise" it, ie inhibit further recording.

Look at the specs for your cd player. It should give you a list of the formats it will pla
I.E CD-ROM, CD-R, CD-RW
If you select "copy entire disc" your burning software will finalize and close the disc automatically
However, if you are making a compilation disc of various artist you will have to tell your burning software to
close, or finalize, the disc
