Player opens on Internet Explorer

When I click on a mpg file on the internet, it opens the
file and starts playing on that web site. I want it to
open up in media player but not on the page.
If I save the picture and click on the file, then it
works, but I dont want to save all of the files.

Hi,

Try turning the Media Bar off. To disable Internet
Explorer's (version 6) Media Bar click the Media button
on the main Toolbar, then click "Media Options" in the
new pane that opens. Now select "settings", and then
uncheck "Play web media in the bar".
