Play a Sound when Download Completes

I want a sound played when a download completes - it used
to do this and all of a sudden stopped. I've searched
thru Sounds & Audio Devices in CP, in Tools|Internet
Options, Microsoft KB, tried different options, and
cannot turn it back on. I'm running XP Pro and have the
latest IE updates installed. Can someone help???

In the download dialogue, place a check in "Notify me when download completes"

There's already a check in the box - but that doesn't
really affect it. A second PC does not have the check,
yet produces the sound. Thanks anyway!
