plain text passwords

How can i make XP use plain text passwords ??? Reason is
it also needs to connect with a SUN box that requires
this type of authentication. Under 98 there was a
registry entry, is there one for XP ???

For connecting to your Sun box, you probably need the same registry
change on "requiresignorseal" as required for Samba. See the "Unofficial
Samba HOWTO" at http://hr.uoregon.edu/davidrl/samba.html, Section 5.3.3.
