hi guys,

i recently purchased a dell inspiron 9300 a few days ago and admittedly so,
my eyes become liquidated with each daily usage. anyhow, all has ran smoothly
as expected with my purchase, but i have one minor question and would
appreciate anyone's help regarding the matter:

when surfing the net, i have noticed that that the various images on most
web pages are slightly blurred/distorted. for example: say i'm on amazon
searching various cds and dvds. each image of the cd/dvd is distorted a bit.
even the "microsoft windows xp" image at the top left-hand portion of THIS
site is slightly distorted.

i was curious if anyone knew if there is a particular 'setting' or perhaps
panel that i could go to to enhance/change and basically fix this minor
problem. any help would be thoroughly appreciated!

On an LCD screen, you should make sure that your resolution is set to the
same as the actual physical resolution of the screen, or you will get
distortion. If you cannot set it to the correct resolution, you may not
have the proper video driver loaded.

i just tried lowering the resolution, which is set on 1920 by 1200 pixels,
but when i move the bar to a lower pixel, it seems to make the situation
worse.

any other suggestions/help?

thanks don! lowering the dpi setting to 96 eliminated the blurry images. but,
now the font is far too small and my eyes are bleeding!

could you me with this as well?

Hi,
1. Try a DPI setting of 96 (Control Panel> Display> Settings> Advanced> Font
Size.)

2. Try a different screen size (Display Properties> Settings.)

3. See this discussion:

Hope this helps,
