Pivot Tables and Shared Workbooks

Is there any way to get a pivot table to work in a shared
workbook. When I did share this workbook the Pivot Table
stopped working. It then did start working again once the
workbook was unshared. Is there anyway around this?

no way around this . this is a documented restriction of shared
workbooks (see Excel help for more details about what functions are
disabled for shared workbooks).
