Pivot Table Error - How to get around it

Creating a basic Pivot table report (5 row items, 2 column items, 2 data
items) and getting the following error:

Microsoft Excel cannot make this change because there are too man row or
column items. Drag at least one row or column field off the pivot table
report, or to the page postion.

5 row items seems rather a lot and I suspect this is causing the error as
this would result in more than the 8000 items allowed

Try moving one or two of these row fields to page fields and see if this
cures it
