pivot table discarded due to integrity problems

I use pivot tables in many of my excel 2003 files. The files are updated on
a monthly basis, and each month I get the error below. The file is fine,
it's just the pivot table can not longer be update - it has to be recreated.
Does anyone know why? I cannot find any sort of fix or other people having
the same problems.

Errors were detected in file 'F:\FY 2006\SJE\3 (prepaids) -2006.xls'
The following is a list of repairs:

PivotTable report 'PivotTable2' on '[3 (prepaids) -2006.xls]138200 acct' was
discarded due to integrity problems.
