pirates of the carribean game

I have just installed the game, Pirates of the Carribean, for my children.
Unfortunately, on opening the game the screen goes blank and a message comes
up saying 'debugger detected' and suggesting I switch it off.

I have no idea what a debbugger is, where to find it, or how to switch it
off - or even to know whether i should swithc it off.

Can anyone help?
