"Pin to Start Menu" how to automate in unattended install

D

David Jones

Hello,
We are just about to migrate to Windows XP Pro at work for our standard
SOE. We would like to automate in the unattended install, some programs so
they appear in the "Pin Start Menu". I know that it is very easy for a
"User" to right click on the .EXE file then select "Pin to Start Menu", but
we would like to set some defaults like MS Word etc to appear as a default
when the User logs in. I've searched MS Support web site with no luck. I
have also used "WinInstall" to take a snap shot of a computer looking for
the changes but none appear.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Jonesy

If you are running a Winbom.ini in your preinstall then
you would use [StartMenuMFUlist] to populate the list.

This may only be an OEM supported option and not a
Corporate or Retail Supported item.
