PID unable to get SP1 update

Hello All,

Apparently, I have purchased Windows XP Professional and
cannot get SP1, because, it is still registared with the
original owner. How can I get around this issue as I'm no
longer in contact with that owner? I need to get the
updates.

Your help will be much appreciated.
