PID number

I'm having problems with media player 10. I can't find my PID number to
contact microsoft. The number on my tower isn't in the right format. I went
to help and support like the instructions said but, it won't come up that way
either. Anyone know how I get this number?

assuming it runs at all, right click the title bar, go to help then choose
the about windows media player option.

The Product ID is created during the installation process and is
prominently displayed on the General Properties tab of the My Computer
icon.
