How do I get support without a PID

N

Nathar

After sitting on the phone for an hour, I figured on-line
support might be the way to go. But, since I can't install
my Windows XP Professional, I can't get a product ID
number. Microsoft requires a PID in order to get support,
but you can't get a PID unless you can successfully
install the program. MORONS!

Seeing as how you know how to use newsgroups... I would assume you could fix your problems without having to contact microsoft directly :p So... it would be you who is the moron.

You have internet access? Yes, obviously! Access to usenet groups?
Obviously! You sat on the phone for an hour? Is that how long it took before
you decided to go online and complain to a NG which may have been able to
help you ages ago if you'd asked? You think a company that keeps you waiting
an hour is going to care what you post here? Tried the MS web site for a
solution to your problem? I bet not! Tried to get a solution here? Nope!
Just what is your definition of a moron, and in what way don't you fit it?

Okay, sorry to be sarky - please post exactly what the problem is - I can't
promise I can help, but if I can't someone probably can. That's the whole
point of this newsgroup!
