Yesterday I was sorting my pictures by folder when 98% of the clips turned into the picture vewer icon and paint icon
And now none will open. I was just doing a drag and drop when it happened. can this be brought out

What is the extension on your files? .jpg, .bmp, ???.

Try this... right click one of the image files and from
the menu...choose ...Properties...on the General tab...
left click the Change button.

Select (highlight) "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer"
....ok / apply / ok.
