picture icon display need changed

[picture icon display]

I want to be able to have my actual pictures displayed when opening file. It
only shows as icon. It is very time consuming to preview each picture til
finding the one I want. I don't want my pictures displayed as an icon in the
file folders. How do I chanbe

I think vista has
the feature to make
images into .ico files
for icons for use by
the file explorer.

but you can use
programs like in
the above link to
make icons / .ico
files from your
images.

the other method to
quickly find and see
images is to use
something like a
photo gallery program
instead of a file explorer:

such programs make
thumbnails of the images
which quickly load as
previews for larger
images.
