pictures in the windows-explorer

Hey guys,

when I open a folder with a lot of pictures in it, explorer.exe suddenly
crashes sometimes while creating the icon / miniature view of the file.
Any thoughts what the problem could be and how I could solve it?

Same thing just happened to me. Created a bunch of JPG's from photoshop into a folder on the C: drive. Then I envoked Windows Explorer to manipulate them and Windows Explorer bombed and would not let me access my own folder. I'm suppose to present these photo's to my client later this morning and now I can't get to them. H E L P !
 
I have the same issues with folders of pictures. Please email me if you find
