Picture Viewer suddenly slow as h*ll!

Just Ideas. When you installed XP, did you install all
Windows updates? Check device manager for any hardware
problems.Task manager show any large cpu usage with
program running? Maybe need to do a disk clean or virus
scan....Good luck.

I've installed all updatess available. Maybe I should try
and uninstall them?
What do you mean by "disc clean"?

The delay is caused by broken links, either shortcuts to non-existing files or broken network drives.
