picture thumbnails when inserting a picture

I perfer the 2000 version of frontpage because I can actually see the picture
rather than just the picture name when looking for a picture to insert into
front page.

I click on the insert picture from file icon, which takes me to my pictures
but when I am there is only shows me an icon, each one different depending on
wether it's a jpg, or what ever. in frontpage 2000 it would actually show me
the picture so I would have to guess as to which picture I am iserting into
front page. I tried the thing that allows me to change the views and it has
a thumbnails thing but it is not highlighted and so it won't let me click on
it, but even then with front page 2000 it was the large icon thing that I
used.

any Ideas on how to get it to show up. I would really love to use my 2000
but my new computer dosn't even recognize it, won't even try it install it.

I am using frontpage 2003. my question is how do I get the little pictures
to show up when I click on the icon to add pictures, instead of just the file
name

After the Picture dialog has opened, click the down arrow next to the little page icon on
the dialog toolbar,
and select Preview.
Then as you click each picture it will display in the right side of the dialog.

The problem with setting the thumbnail view in 2K and XP is that it creates a thumbs.db
file in any folder that contains images.
The thumbs.db file causes problems when trying to publish.

If you set Windows to Not Cache Thumbs will it solve the thumbs.db problem?

Yes, but you should still avoid accessing your web content outside of FP.
