Picture It Photo Premium 7.0

I use this product at least once a week to edit my photos for eBay auctions.
I had no problem using this the week of 4-10. On April 16, a software
distribution pack was donwloaded to my computer. I am not sure what was
included in this pack, but it did effect my picture it program. I was able
to open Picture It...but was not able to open new files to edit pics. I
uninstalled Picture It and reinstalled it, but this did not help. This is
the only thing I knew how to do to try to fix it. I am not completely
computer literate. I tried several days to come up with a solution. Since it
did not work, I performed a system restore on 4-20 dating back to 4-15.
Picture It then worked just fine. Unfortunately, around midnight of 4-20,21
there was another security update service pack installed. This was the only
thing installed on my computer since the restore point. I looked at my
add/remove programs at all of the updates and the only thing updated on 4-21
was Windows XP security updates KB908531; KB911562; KB911567; KB912812. Is
there something in one of these updates that is corrupting my Microsoft
Picture It and if so, what can I do about it? Thanks in advance for any help.
