Picture It 2002 crashes in Win XP Home

I just loaded Picture It! Publishing 2002 onto a new Win XP Home machine.
The program starts up okay but when I choose a project to work on, it
immediately crashes (PI closes). I checked the Win XP page and it says PI is
XP compatible. Does anyone know what my problem is? Thanks for your help.

Same thing happens to me, any help out there??
