PICTURE FORMAT IN OUTLOOK 2003

To insert a picture in the body of an email
does the email have to be in HTML format or
can it be in RICH TEXT?

Second: I am currently using HTML format and
I insert a picture. When I send the picture
those that use AOL MAIL, YAHOO MAIL receive the picture
with the files correct name and format .jpg.

However whenever anyone receiving the email and uses
outlook and tries to save the picture [right click
- save as], it is listed as UNTITLED and format is .bmp

How come? Any Suggestions?

Thanks,
Hal

HTML is a more compatible format than Rich Text. Only send in Rich Text when
you need that functionality and when you know the receiving end supports it
(basically this means running Outlook as well)

To save embedded pictures in their original file format you'll need to use
some code;
