Sometimes when I right click on a picture in a web site
The picture doesn't save as a .JPEG or .JPG it just copies
a blank extention and I can't retrieve the file in a
graphics program. How do I cure this problem?

try adding the required extension in the file name dialogue
box as well as the name. Also ensure you have seleted the
correct file type in the save as dialogue box.

Kent,
You may need to clear your TIF as you may have a corrupt file there.

Close all instances of OE and IE
Control Panel | Internet Options | General tab
Click the "Delete Files" button, when prompted place a check in:
"Delete all offline content", click OK
Click the "Clear History" button, click OK.
Click the Settings button, adjust the TIF size to 50 mb, click OK

What about when the save as loses the ability to save as .....and saves
everything as a bmp file? IE 5 under Win 95, 98 used to do this sometimes.
I am using IE 6.0 and XP and the problem is back. Strange.
