Physical Memory Dump during win2000 install

Help!

I've been trying to build a new PC for three weeks now and I finally
received my copy of win2000, only to find it won't finalize the install!

It goes through creating the start menu items and when it gets to
registering components, it dies. I get a blue screen of death and a rather
long error code at the end of which says only one thing that makes any
sense....physical memory dump.

Please tell me this can be fixed somehow and how do i do it??? I
reformatted my hdd and set up all new partitions.

Thanks in advance!
