Photo on desktop

G

Gordon Nelson

I wish to put a photo on my desktop but not as background---just as an
element on the desktop display. Help and Support says to go to "My Pictures"
and do something, but what I am supposed to do does not show up as an
option.

Thanks for any help anyone can give me.

"Element" does not really have any obvious meaning to me. If you want to
simply put the photo file on the desktop, then drag it there. If you
want it to be shown as part of a background collage then you'll have to
creae that collage image and then set that image as your background.

Hi Gordon,

Right click the desktop, choose properties. On the desktop tab, click the
button to "customize desktop". Click the web tab, click "new", then choose
the browse feature to select the image you want to use from "My Pictures".

Gordon,

Right-click your desktop, select properties, and hit the Desktop tab. Click
Customize Desktop and then the Web tab. Click New, then Browse. Now browse
to the photo you want.

HTH Tony.

Set it as 'background', but center rather than stretch it.. if you want it
as part of a screen collage, you will have to use a graphics/photo
manipulation program
