Photo Galary photo override not working

When I right click in a photo group there is the properties popup that has
two options: 1> use formatting from page and 2> the OVERRIDE and use cstom
formatting.
Well I had a HD crash an lost everthing. So with the replacement I
installed FP 2003 back. Since I had a copy of MySite I opened it up to add
comments to a photo page but it locked up when I tried to use the over ride
and use custom. How do I get back to the over ride that I had use of before
on the other HD before it crashed???

Did I ask a weird question?

When I open up a photo page I right click and get a black overlay and then I
hit Photo Gallery Properties and get window allowing me to add or delete
pictures but I want to use the Override and use custom font formatting and
there in lies the trouble. When I type something in and try to use a color
it locks up and I have to task bar and stop the program from running. I can
use font formatting from page but not the override selection so what do I
need to do to fix that. Oh it worked before I had the major HD die with out
a hint that is was going bad...

I have hundreds of pictures yet to put in my site so you see why I need some
help here...

I can't reproduce *your* problem - but I have problems with the gallery
captions.
I can select both options (use page formatting or use custom formatting),
but unless 10pt Algerian (the page font) and 18pt Wingdings (the custom
font) both have a very close resemblance to 12pt Times New Roman, neither
option does anything.

My usual advice for Photogallery problems is to switch to a gallery that
does work properly, every time, such as jAlbum (http://jalbum.net).
